Two of my poems, to be published in the coming months, have been longlisted for The Poetry Society‘s National Poetry Competition in the UK. I consider it humbling, and very encouraging, to have twice made the final 140 from an entry of over 13,000. England, you’ve been very kind to me recently.

I really consider it a privilege to be the featured reader for the latest Stanzas gathering in Limerick. It’s is not just a platform for emerging writers, but a very defined movement of bold and exacting talents, one which I have a great deal of respect for. The reading takes place in Cafe Noir, Robert Street, this Friday, at 7pm.

‘Anagnorisis’ – Crannóg 36
I am so very, very, pleased to have had a poem in the summer edition of Crannóg here in Galway. I’ve admired this journal for years.
My thanks to the excellent Elaine Cosgrove for looking over this one for me. If you happen across the current edition of The Penny Dreadful, pick it up. Her poem ‘Surfing at Streedagh Strand’ will roll around the swell of your conscience .
